Get Your Children the Support They Need Across the State, the Country, or the World

Did you know we offer our one-on-one tutoring sessions remotely?

Heading out on vacation this summer, but you’re concerned about your children losing traction on their test prep or academic programs? Or perhaps your children are at boarding school, and you're unsure of how to handle academic or test prep support from afar?

Using Skype, Schoology, and Google Drive, our tutors are able to drive highly effective remote programs that provide our students with resources, organizational tools, and flexibility beyond what is possible in an in-person session. In fact, many of our students even prefer remote programs, here’s why:

STAYING ON SCHEDULE
We can sync your child’s Schoology account to iCalendar or Google Calendar so that your child can use their calendar of choice to see clearly what sessions, diagnostic tests, and official tests are on the horizon. Your children can also download the Schoology app for iPhone or Android so they can check in on assignments at any time from anywhere.

OH, THE FLEXIBILITY
To run a successful remote session, all you need is a computer and an internet connection. This means these sessions can happen from almost anywhere at almost any time. Have a free period in the middle of the day? That’s a great time for a session! Heading across the world on vacation? You might be taking a break from the city, but there’s no need to take a break from your tutoring program.

GOING PAPERLESS
Our remote programs can run completely electronically, so there’s no need for heavy books. This makes travel and vacation really simple for your child. It also means that our tutors can cycle through a wider variety of resources more quickly and efficiently. With the internet at their fingertips, our tutors have endless tools and resources at their disposal to aid in running a clear, thorough, and organized program.

GETTING COLLABORATIVE
Our tutors use Google Drive to work collaboratively with their students. Using Whiteboard or Google Drawing, our math tutors can demonstrate and solve problems live on screen. Using Google Docs, our verbal tutors can annotate and make grammatical corrections as they watch your child typing live from across the state, the country, or the world.

STAYING ON TASK
Since teenagers are so used to zoning out into their computers, some students find it easier to stay focused during remote sessions than during in-person sessions. Sometimes, in person, students’ attentions can start to wander over to their devices. But in a remote session, the device IS the session.

PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
Schoology has a user-friendly quiz tool that allows our tutors to design custom online quizzes for your child. After your child completes the quiz, our tutors can go in and make comments on incorrect answers so that your child can easily review what they missed and learn from their mistakes between sessions. Through Schoology, quizzes aren’t for one-time use, they become an ongoing resource for both academic and test-prep programs.
